Haircut Advice...Please Help!?

I have medium-long length hair. I am sick and tired of the way it looks...it is so thick and has no style wat-so-ever. I want something really stylish but keep the length and continue to grow it out. Help please!

You should go visit a professional hair stylist. They have books with loads of pics, and they'll give you expert advice.

I'd suggest you get your hair flipped, and put in a lot of layers

Layers and ask for them to thin it out..

Haircut Advice...Please Help!?

Well.. It really depends on how u look. Cuz not all looks work for people.

Haircut Advice...Please Help!?

Layers...put in lots of funky layers and then you can do so much more with it and it will have a style. :)- Good luck, you will look great

oh good... umm i have a GREAT solution..

I am in cosmetology so i know some things..

Get thinning sheers.. scissors, at wal-mart or a perfessional to do it..

and thin your hair out.. so not only will it be thinner..

but it will also grow a bit withing a month because

your cutting the dead ends off...

which means it will style better too..

:D

I think longer layers look really good. And you could keep having them cut longer as you grow it out. Thinning it with thinning shears often helps a style too, as well as the poofiness. And sometimes razoring the ends. Talk to a stylist about it, and look through books in the salon. Show them to the stylist and talk about them.

If your hair is thick, it might be easier if you got it thinned out, so it takes some of the weight off. Thinning it out can also be achieved with layers, so maybe a few shorter layers would look nice. Or perhaps a side bang, if you don't already have one. Keep the layers underneath long, as to keep the length.

Hope this helped a bit :)

FIRST - I'm jealous -- I have thin - do nothing hair. But anyway, on with your question.....ask them to thin it out for you......check out some magazines and look at different haircuts. Get there early -- they always have books/magazines to get ideas from....but it sounds like you want it thinned out. If you go to a "classy" -- expensive place and you know the person knows what they are doing, have the stylist give you an idea of what looks good on you....they're trained for that. We can't see your face (plus most of us aren't trained for it either)

i have the same problem. i go with a shaggy thinned out mussed-up look. i use a little bit of hair mud, and only finger comb it. i give my hair a good brushing before i shampoo. when i was younger i used to get it layered with a weave or hit n miss body wave.

Hey.

Why don't you just get a little trim and some layers to help thin it out and give it some style ? Also, try straightening it every so often with a ceramic straightener. It'll help make it seem a lot thinner and softer. Also try Putting some leave-in conditioner in your hair every morning to help give it a slight shine, and help frizzyness and make it even softer.

Ok what I hear here is not completely a cut/style issue. If you use a no-lye relaxer you are making your hair poofy with the calcium build up that no-lye relaxers deposite. try a lye (soudium hydroxide) relaxer. Also try doing a hot-oil treatment weekly for one month. What I mean by hot-oil treatment is at home with extra virgin olive oil . Saturate your dry hair with it then wrap a damp towel around it and a plastic bag for 45-to-1hr (1/2 of this time could spent under a heated dryer for deeper penetration). Next shampoo %26amp; condition as usual
