i don't know wat type of hair u have, but with my naturally curly hair i put gel in it to tone down the afro-ness of my hair after I wet my hair and dry it a little bit. Then after I apply the gel to all of my hair I take the towel that I dried my hair with and act like I'm drying my hair a little more to make sure the gel in my hair isn't so heavy that my hair looks hard and wet all day. Then I just shake my hair and press down the sides a bit and then I'm done!!!
