Can chemicaly straightened hair be dyed?

I have Afro hair that is very coarse (I usually relax it using Super but did the normal strength once and it was ok) just past my shoulders and have wanted for some time to dye part of it at the front a goldy blonde and the rest a medium brown and then cut it like Kylie Minogue's curly style on the 'X' album cover but my hair is relaxed.

Can I still dye it two different colours?

If I did would my hair fall out like everyone keeps telling me?

If I did dye my hair would I have to stop relaxing my hair and if so what are the alternatives?

I live in London England is there a good brand or salon or ANYTHING anyone could recommend?

You can still colour your hair. However, if your hair is extremely damaged from the relaxing I wouldn't recommend it because it can cause breakage. Also, usually you have to wait 48 hours between a relaxing and a colour. AND.. haha, if you have colour in your hair then you relax it, the chemicals in the relaxing is going to make your colour fade.

And sorry, I don't live in England, so I don't know what kinds of salons or brands you use over there, however.. if you can find a salon that uses Joico colours or Matrix colours, I'd say that woul dbe your best bet.

if i were u i wouldnt risk it. i dye my hair and im not allowed to get a perm or use anything that includes chemicals. chemicals mixed with hair dye mess up the hair color and its not safe for thet scalp.

u will probably have to wait until the chemicals from the straightening are out of ur hair. this usually takes about 6-12 months until u are able to touch ur hair with other chemicals.

I've had it done at the same time but wouldn't recommend it. My hair got very fragile for a while. It didn't fall out but I had a patch at my hairline that broke off but wasn't that noticeable to anyone but me. What I went to doing was getting it straightened then a few weeks later going for color.

you shouldnt dye it, because chemicals from the straightner are hard on your hair, and if yu add more chemicals to it with the dye, it might fall out!
